Library Thing is WAY too much fun, especially for a cataloger!! I could get sucked into doing this for hours and hours and hours! It's so easy to use, too. However, couldn't find my favorite book - may have to add it myself!!

As a cataloger, does the informality and keyword orientation of tagging bother you at all? How do you really feel about subject headings? :)
ReplyDeleteI do love subject headings, but I love tagging, too. What I would LOVE is to have it all - keep the catalog with all the awesome subject headings, and also let customers and staff tag them. It will be possible down the road, I think. The more access the better, I say!
